Welcome to InvoiceM8. These Terms of Service explain the rules for using our website, app, products, services and related features. By accessing or using InvoiceM8, you agree to these terms.

1. About InvoiceM8

InvoiceM8 is designed to help sole traders, contractors, tradies, freelancers and small businesses create quotes, invoices, manage clients, track payments, organise business information and access simple business admin tools.

2. Who can use InvoiceM8

You must be able to legally enter into an agreement to use InvoiceM8. If you use InvoiceM8 on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have authority to act for that business.

3. Account registration

To use some features, you may need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

4. Your business information

You are responsible for the accuracy of any invoices, quotes, client details, business details, tax settings, payment details, uploaded information or other content you enter into InvoiceM8.

5. Invoices, quotes and business tools

InvoiceM8 provides tools to help with business administration. You remain responsible for checking all information before sending it to clients, customers, accountants, advisers or government agencies.

6. Tax, GST, ACC and financial information

Any tax, GST, ACC, income, estimate, report or financial information provided by InvoiceM8 is for general support and convenience only. It should not be treated as professional accounting, tax, legal or financial advice.

You should check important financial, tax and legal matters with your accountant, tax adviser, lawyer or other qualified professional.

7. Payments and third-party services

InvoiceM8 may connect with third-party services such as payment providers, login providers, messaging services or other tools. Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms, fees and policies.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use InvoiceM8 to:

• break any law or regulation;
• send false, misleading or fraudulent invoices or quotes;
• upload harmful code, spam or malicious content;
• attempt to access another user’s account or data;
• copy, reverse engineer or misuse the platform;
• interfere with the security, performance or availability of the service.

9. Subscriptions, trials and pricing

Some InvoiceM8 features may be free, while others may require a paid subscription or trial. Pricing, features and subscription terms may change over time. Any paid plan will show the relevant pricing before purchase where applicable.

10. Cancellations and refunds

You may cancel your subscription according to the cancellation options available through InvoiceM8 or the relevant app store/payment provider. Refunds, where applicable, may depend on the payment provider, app store rules, consumer law and the circumstances of the request.

11. Service availability

We aim to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee that InvoiceM8 will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. Maintenance, updates, internet issues, third-party outages or technical problems may affect access.

12. App development and beta release

InvoiceM8 may be offered in beta, testing or early release stages. During these stages, features may change, be removed, be unavailable or contain errors. Feedback from users may be used to improve the product.

13. Intellectual property

InvoiceM8, including its name, branding, design, software, features, content, layout and related materials, is owned by or licensed to the InvoiceM8 team and/or TechNacity Digital Solutions. You may not copy, reproduce or use our branding or platform materials without permission.

14. Your content

You keep ownership of the business information and content you add to InvoiceM8. You give us permission to store, process and use that information only as needed to provide and improve the service, support your account and operate the platform.

15. Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect personal information. By using InvoiceM8, you agree to our Privacy Policy.

16. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, InvoiceM8 and its owners are not liable for indirect loss, lost profit, business interruption, data loss, missed tax obligations, accounting errors or other losses arising from your use of the service.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. If changes are made, the updated terms will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of InvoiceM8 means you accept the updated terms.

18. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be handled under New Zealand law unless another law applies by mandatory consumer protection rules.
